La Herrada is a modern residential area with green areas and supermarket on the outskirts of the popular Spanish town of Los Montesinos, which lies between two large salt lakes, close to the Mediterranean. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk into the centre of Los Montesinos from the property, and the beaches of Guardamar and Torrevieja are approximately 15 minutes away by car. Alicante airport is 35-40 mins drive away, and the new airport at Corvera is a 50 minute drive. There are several excellent golf courses in the area, and plenty of places to visit such as Torrevieja, the medieval city of Orihuela, Cartagena, the Mar Menor, La Manga, Santa Pola, the island of Tabarca etc.
